Comparing cost of telecommunications offers in-depth is a hard thing to do, and it was an absolute necessity for prospects to be able to confidently project the amount of their future savings. For these purposes, Koen built a tool in Excel that imported all of the customer's individual call records (in one click!!), upon we could apply our various subscription formulas, options and discounts. The tool also allowed us to compare with and anticipate the real cost of the competitor's offer, giving Mobistar salespeople a competitive advantage and providing the prospect with an unprecedented insight in his telecom cost structure. At the same time the tool delivered a significant gain in time and boosted our win ratio. Data roaming costs, especially outside Europe, are structured in extremely complex ways, yet Koen managed to model all this in a versatile Excel P&L tool that was able to reflect countless scenarios, and thus gave Orange the ability to be both competitive and profitable. As speed of execution is key in our business, Koen developed an offer tool with built-in P&L for a series of these vendor technologies, allowing us to react much faster to these changes, and to respond swiftly to our resellers' offer inquiries. |
